Description:  In this introduction to the practice of somatic psychotherapy Dr. Schiff will, through lecture, discussion, experiential exercises, and clinical demonstrations, introduce participants to the foundational principles that underlie an emotionally focused, person-centered, phenomenologically based somatic and embodied approach to psychotherapy. Appropriate for therapists at all levels of clinical experience and a good introduction for those who might be interested in enrolling in the Contemporary Orgone (Reichian) Therapy 4-Year Training Program.  New cohort begins in September, 2025.

10:40 AM:   Clinical Demonstration: The Reichian somatic psychotherapy approach in                  addressing  characterological and somatic armor

11:20 AM:   Case Consultation: Application of the principles of somatic psychotherapy in            one’s work with clients.
